Terms of service

Last updated 21 September 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Ten Frame Labs (“we”) for the use of tenframe.dev and the Ten Frame API (the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind that company, and “you” means the company.

1. The Service

Ten Frame indexes videos you submit into per-second descriptions and transcripts, and lets you query that index through a dashboard and an API. Output is generated by machine learning models and can be wrong, incomplete, or miss what is on screen. You are responsible for checking it before relying on it, and you must not use it as the sole basis for decisions that affect a person’s legal rights, safety, or access to services.

2. Beta

The Service is in a private beta. Access is by invitation, features may change or be withdrawn, and there may be interruptions. Limits that apply during the beta, such as the maximum video length, are shown in the dashboard and may differ from those on the pricing page. We may end the beta or your access to it at any time.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your sign-in details and API keys confidential. Anything done with your keys is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you believe a key or password has been exposed; you can rotate keys and the webhook secret from the dashboard.

4. Plans, credits and payment

5. Your content

You keep all rights to the videos you submit and to the index and answers we produce from them. You grant us only the licence needed to store, process, and return them to you. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit each video and that doing so does not break any law or third-party right, including copyright and privacy rights of people who appear in it.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, and we may remove content that we are legally required to remove.

7. Our processors

We use third-party providers to run the Service, including cloud hosting, storage, speech-to-text, and language models. They are listed in our privacy policy. They process your content only to provide the Service and do not train models on it.

8. Availability and support

We aim for the Service to be available continuously but do not promise any uptime during the beta. Support is by email at the address below, on a reasonable-efforts basis.

9. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data beyond what we are obliged to keep under the privacy policy. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing us. We may terminate or suspend accounts for breach of these terms, for non-payment, or if we discontinue the Service, in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can and refund any unused pack credits bought in the previous 90 days.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
